Seeking expressions of interest for the Synod Implementation Working Group
The Diocesan Synod Implementation Working Group is established to guide, coordinate and monitor the implementation of the resolutions and pastoral priorities of the 2026 Archdiocesan Synod, A Synodal Church on Mission. The Working Group will support the Archdiocese of Adelaide to translate the Synod outcomes into practical, resourced and accountable actions that strengthen communion, participation and mission across diocesan, parish, school, community and agency life.

The Archdiocesan Synod in 2026 is the next step in the ongoing process of Church renewal.
The Synod provides assistance to the Archbishop in his ministry and leadership for the good of the whole Archdiocesan community. This is achieved by the participation of representatives of the faithful, lay and ordained, of the Archdiocese of Adelaide in ecclesial discernment of communion, participation and mission, to progress the pastoral priorities identified in recent Diocesan Assemblies.
The requirement for a Diocesan Synod was a decree of the Plenary Council that all diocese hold a synod within 5 years of the close of the Plenary Council.
